This is a dive shop run by instructors who are clearly passionate about diving and teaching people the skills they need to have a great experience underwater. I was very impressed with the quality of education as no corners were cut and every effort was made to ensure that I had terrific dives.

Their boats are probably among the best I have been on and both instructors knew the dive sites very well - making for a great all around experience. I would definitely go back and go diving with these guys again.

I spent lots of time researching dive operators for a relatively short stay in Phuket. I had several constraints and emailed several operators with questions to see who could best meet my needs.

Sarina from Andaman Ocean Safaris answered all of my questions, and put together three dives that greatly exceeded my expectations. I only had two days to dive, and I wanted three dives a day, and I wanted to go to Phi Phi. Sarina made it work, and I got everything I wanted and more.

Our Divers

Our boat, which we are extremely proud of, has the Thai name 'Chok Som Boon'. The direct English translation is 'Complete Luck' and an incredible boat it is. The boat was previously a live aboard boat which we have converted into a day trip dive boat. We have an expansive dive deck (85 tanks on deck) ensuring loads of space for kitting up. Full maintenance is done bi annually from the propellers beneath to the 2 x 420hp primary engines and not forgetting the further three generators supplying the electricity to the two compressors and the rest of the boat.

Chok Som Boon is a traditional 23 meter dive boat. This allows for so much more space than most other dive boats around. We can facilitate up to 60 divers with the capacity to refill enough cylinders for three dives. However, we feel comfortable to book a maximum of 45 divers per day, so do not waste time in the high season and book early to avoid disappointment.

All food is freshly prepared on board by our full time Chef who is a specialist in Thai food but we can cater for various food requirements including western style, halaal and vegetarian. We are one of only three dive boats offering freshly prepared food on board.

All our dive equipment is brand new and we have the best rental sets that scuba pro has on offer. Our Dive boat has three levels, including a roof area with mattresses ideal for tanning comfortably whilst taking a slow cruise to your favourite dive sites. For those who are really feeling the heat we have an air-conditioned deck where you can relax and put your feet up.

We have a permanent crew of 8 on board at all times that include:

A captain with many years of experience
A secondary captain/engineer
Two deck hands to assist with any requirements
Our own tour leader on board daily to answer any questions you may have
A chef to prepare fresh and delicious food
Two dive masters who know the Andaman Ocean and all it’s beautiful spots all too well
A videographer offering the opportunity to follow you on your diving experiences and then to present you with a neatly packaged dive DVD containing all your valuable memories at the end of the day
