The dramatic limestone cliffs that plunge underwater form the beautiful colourful soft coral walls that make Phi Phi a must-see dive site. There are many different dive sites with rugged walls, and interesting caves, overhangs and swim-throughs that have formed in the soft limestone rock. Phi Phi islands offer an astounding variety of different sites, including shallow coral gardens of stag horn and star corals, where incredible numbers of colourful reef fish frolic among the soft corals and sponges.

Divers of all levels of experience and snorkellers can visit Racha Yai as the diving is easy and the currents are gentle. This allows divers to drift gently whilst taking in the many varieties of beautiful hard and soft corals found here, and the magnificent variety of colourful fish. On the reef, octopus and cuttlefish can be seen, and there are often schools of barracudas. Leopard sharks are ocassionally seen here as well. This is one of the bst locations for new divers to gain experience and learn to dive, but more experienced divers shouldn't be put off, Racha Yai has something for everyone.

A diving trip to Thailand would not be complete without a visit to Shark Point. The Thai name for Shark Point is Hin Musang, meaning 'Shark Rock', and it is derived from the docile Leopard and Bamboo sharks found resting here on the sandy ocean floor or under a rocky overhang. It truly is a visual feast complete with colourful soft corals and sea fans that cover this huge limestone pinnacle, as well as a vast array of tropical fish, several species of Moray eels and leopard sharks. This dive site is truly spectacular and justifiably the most popular of the local dive sites.

Anemone Reef, or Hin Jom (underwater rock) is a huge limestone pinnacle that lies just below the surface of the sea. This site is famous for the vast number of sea anemones that completely cover this rock outcrop. These sea anemones provide a wonderful habitat for a large variety of tropical fish, including colourful clown fish. Larger game-fish like tuna and barracuda can be seen here. This site is also well-known for sighting schools of lionfish.

Koh Doc Mai, or Flower Island in Thai, is a small limestone island that rises steeply out of the sea. This dive site is a very popular wall dive down to 30 metres. The walls are abundantly decorated with colourful sea life. It is home to a large variety of reef fish and moray eels, as well as lobsters, crabs, clams, urchins, and octopuses. The highlights of Koh Doc Mai's dive sites are the colourful flower-like corals, leopard sharks, variety of moray eels, and the resident yellow tiger-tail seahorse. Koh Doc Mai is also home to large barracuda near the surface so remember to look up when enjoying the scenery.

A truly spectacular dive site for novice and professional divers alike. Racha Noi is more isolated than Racha Yai. It is a very popular dive site for more experienced divers, as it has greater depths and stronger currents than Racha Yai. Huge underwater boulders offer a good environment for many soft corals and colourful reef fish, as well as whale sharks, manta rays & leopard sharks which are commonly seen here. There are many opportunities for an enjoyable and rewarding deep dive as well as shallow bays that offer beginners and snorkellers a wonderful opportunity to experience abundant marine life and beautiful hard corals. This is one of the region's premier dive sites and well worth a visit.
